Welcome to Champney’s

For our 125th anniversary at the Deerfield Inn, we gave our restaurant and tavern the name of Champney's.  James Wells Champney, engraver, photographer, and painter, lived on Deerfield's Main Street while teaching at Smith College, and has been called "the father of American Impressionism".  Our relaxed fine dining restaurant and comfortable tavern are open seven nights with a market-driven menu using fresh area produce.  We offer a great list of 101 martinis, a wide selection of imported & domestic bottled and draft beers, and an extensive wine list with more than 20 wines by the glass.  In fine weather you can eat out on the intimate porch, or on weekends take a horse-drawn carriage ride before returning for dinner.
